ENDINGS, COMPLETION AND NEW BEGINNINGS

ENDINGS, COMPLETION AND NEW BEGINNINGS

Tomorrow is the last day of LUMA as we know it. Terese and I have been working hard over the past three years to learn as much as we can about plastic, production and running our own business. We have learned a lot and made a lot and had a lot of fun together. I’ve included mostly photos of our sunglasses in this post because I still think they rock. She will be leaving for Denmark to go back to school next week and as much as I have always wanted to have my own fashion company, I do not…

NORTHSIDE FESTIVAL 2016

NORTHSIDE FESTIVAL 2016

To kick off the beginning of summer, every year Brooklynites and tourists alike look forward to the Northside Festival held over the course of one week in Williamsburg. I first came to know the festival several years ago through its various local music artists who would perform, since then the festival has grown to now also include Content and Innovation. This year through my work with Cunning, I was given an “Influencer” pass to attend the smart talks about technology, art and of course live music. Although I only live several blocks from the heart of the festival, it never hurts…

FINDING PEACE OF MIND

FINDING PEACE OF MIND

Terese is in Mexico researching different plastic manufacturing techniques. Despite having a ticket to go along for the study, my recent trip to Jamaica with Destination Luxury opened my eyes to a new world of possibilities and facts, forcing me to stay home and devise some large changes for our future. This past year has been a roller coaster of learning about myself and what I truly want in life. It is difficult to put yourself first when you believe you are a product of circumstance. Luckily my beautiful New York family would never let me alone in the dark for too…
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE – MUSEUMS OF THE FUTURE

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE – MUSEUMS OF THE FUTURE

Technology allows us to self direct our experiences. “There’s a revolution afoot inside museums as technology—in the form of cheaper screens, miniaturized mechanics and increased computing power—sparks experiments in exhibit design. From virtual reality to 4-D films, here’s what to expect.” “For museums, such advancements could attract diverse visitors, lure young people and change the way audiences learn about art, science and nature.” “While aimed at boosting crowds, the new technology could blur the lines between education and entertainment.” “In the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s MediaLab, a small team is tinkering with everything from augmented reality to videogames. “We’re working…
